FOR SNOWBOARDERS

CASI is a professional, not-for-profit organization founded in 1994. To this day, we are still run entirely by snowboarders and serve as the certification body for all of Canada.

“CASI members create new snowboarders every day around the world, using proven technical and teaching methodologies to make this journey a success.”

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Established in 1994, CASI trains and certifies snowboard instructors across Canada and internationally, and provides trained instructors to resorts worldwide.

Our members can be found working across Canada and the globe, from Asia to Europe to New Zealand and beyond. Globally, we’re one of the only snowboard-only certification bodies not connected to a ski instructor association.

Our vision

We aspire to be global leaders in instructor education, innovation and professional development that is synonymous with a thriving, diverse and accessible snow sports industry.

Our Mission

To inspire the world’s best snowboard instruction.

Our Regional Coordinators are your key contact to access courses across the country.

“It’s a practical program where we look at teaching skills and riding skills, but in the bigger sense it’s being delivered by a huge group of experienced snowboard instructors who are there to pass on their skills that they’ve gained in the industry.”

Jeff Chandler, Executive Director

“The instructor skills you’re learning are valuable in all other types of jobs. Communication, lesson structure, leadership skills, presenting in front of a group, holding the space. These are the types of skills people are learning through their journey with CASI.”

Genevieve Pilotto, Program Director

Our People

Getting others into snowboarding is what we’re all about.
