CASI Recognition Awards

Every year, we give recognition to CASI Members who have provided exceptional service to CASI and/or the snow sports industry. Awarded only once annually, these awards may not necessarily be given every year.

  • Served on approved committees
  • Served on the Board of Directors
  • Volunteer for the good of CASI, or advancement of CASI’s goals and interests in the snow sports industry

There are two awards that people can be nominated for:

1. Regional Evaluator of the Year

A framed certificate is given out in recognition of an Evaluator’s exemplary work on CASI Courses. The Regional Coordinator shall be vested with the power to review nominations and to recommend the names of recipients to the Board for approval for this award.

Requirements:

  • Nominees must be Evaluators
  • Need to be nominated by CASI Staff and/or fellow Evaluators

2. Hall of Fame

One of CASI’s highest awards recognizes substantial involvement and effort in CASI and/or snowboarding in general. For example, being a member of CASI’s Board, Committees, or leading a major program within CASI or the snow sports industry. The recipient receives a gift and a special plaque.

Requirements:

  • The recipient must be a CASI member
  • No Board, Operations Staff or Technical Committee members can receive this award while actively serving on the board or on a committee

HALL OF FAME COMMITTEE

The Hall of Fame (HOF) Committee is composed of a current Board member, a Past Hall of Fame Member, and a CASI member appointed annually by the Board for this purpose, and shall be vested with the power to review nominations and to recommend the names of recipients to the Board for approval for this award.

Where the HOF Committee has made a nomination, which is rejected by the Board, there shall be no substitute nomination for that year unless authorized by a Board resolution.

All recommendations of the HOF Committee relative to award recipients shall be considered and dealt with by a Board resolution.

The deadline for all submissions is March 15th.
