meeting notice

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the members of the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (“CASI”) will be held via ZOOM video conference on November 25th, 2026 at 16:00 hours Pacific Standard Time) for the following purposes: 

  1. To receive the financial statements of CASI for the fiscal year ended May 31, 2026, together with the report of the Directors and the Auditor thereon. 
  2. To appoint the Auditor for the ensuing year and authorize the Directors to fix the remuneration of the Auditor. 
  3. To announce the results of the annual elections to fill vacant positions on the CASI Board of Directors. 
  4. Special Resolution – Membership Conditions & Voting Eligibility: To consider and, if deemed advisable, approve a Special Resolution amending Article 4 of the General Bylaws to define membership qualifications and require Member in Good Standing status (payment of dues) for voting eligibility at member meetings. 
  5. Ordinary Resolution – Director Qualifications & Candidate Endorsements: To consider and, if deemed advisable, approve an Ordinary Resolution amending Article 6 of the General Bylaws to introduce a functional bilingualism requirement for the Quebec Director and authorize Board endorsement of qualified candidates. 
  6. Ordinary Resolution – General Governance & Operational Modernization: To consider and, if deemed advisable, approve an Ordinary Resolution confirming amendments to Articles 5, 6, 7, and 9 of the General Bylaws (including formal authorization of virtual AGMs, tie-vote rules, conflict-free Nominating Committee rules, regional voting restrictions, and officer term flexibility). 
  7. To transact such further business as may properly be brought before the meeting or any adjournment thereof.
