Golfing to Give Back: CASI Hits the Links for the Too Chill Turkey Cup

When you think of the CASI, your mind goes straight to Quick Ride, Carving and the Competencies. In the off season, our team trades snowboards for other sports, and in the case of this blog, golf, and all for a cause that we can’t advocate for enough.

Just prior to Thanksgiving weekend, CASI’s Staff Team and BOD President met in Collingwood, Ontario, for the 3rd annual Too Chill Turkey Cup, hosted in support of Burton’s Chill Foundation. Set against the iconic backdrop of Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario, the tournament brought together outdoor industry peers for a day of friendly competition, shared laughs, and meaningful community impact.

Connecting Through Sport

At CASI, connecting through sport is built right into our DNA. As an entirely remote staff team scattered across the country, gathering in person is a rare and special occasion. Having our entire staff team together alongside our Board of Directors President made the event even more meaningful—offering a valuable opportunity to collaborate, align, and strengthen team bonds off the snow.

Of course, it didn’t take long on the tee box to confirm one thing: our skills on the golf course are definitely not as sharp as our skills on our snowboards! But, while our drives were erratic and we duffed a few too many chips, the camaraderie and shared purpose amidst the crew kept spirits high all day.

Supporting Access & Our Vision

Beyond the fun on the fairways, participating in industry gatherings like the Too Chill Turkey Cup keeps CASI’s finger on the pulse of the broader snowsports landscape. Staying active and engaged within our community ensures we stay connected to the evolving needs of riders, instructors, and industry partners alike.

Most importantly, supporting the Chill Foundation directly aligns with CASI’s core strategic plan and an essential part of our VISION: to support a thriving, diverse and accessible snowsports industry.

For over two decades, the Chill Foundation has worked to break down financial and social barriers, introducing youth from diverse backgrounds to boardsports like snowboarding. By providing equipment, instruction, and positive youth development programming, Chill uses boardsports to build resilience, confidence, and life skills. We are continually stoked on what this foundation is doing and we’re proud to support their endeavours with the help of our First Tracks Fund.

Looking Ahead to Winter

Leaving Collingwood, our team returned to their respective remote posts inspired, re-energized, and ready for the upcoming snow season. Supporting access to snowboarding doesn’t just build future snowboarders—it strengthens the entire community we are here to serve.

A huge thank you to the Chill Foundation for putting on an incredible Too Chill Turkey Cup and to everyone who came out to support youth access to sport. We’re already looking forward to next year—though we might spend a little time at the driving range before then!
